Company History

Our organization entered the hotel business in 1999 with the purchase of the Baymont Inn & Suites in Champaign, Illinois, a 96-room property that we have recently renovated. It features a fully-furnished, one-bedroom apartment, expanded meeting room and fitness center. We continued from there with new development as we built the Quality Inn in Evansville, Indiana, which opened in January 2000, and a 73-room property located at I-64 & Hwy 41. This hotel includes a heated indoor pool and whirlpool, fitness center and meeting room.

We built a Baymont Inn & Suites, also in Evansville, which opened in January of 2001 and was recently converted to a Holiday Inn Express. It is located 1 mile from the University of Southern Indiana and adjacent to several restaurants and a 16-plex movie theater. It features 81 rooms and suites with granite countertops, an indoor pool & whirlpool, fitness center and meeting room.

In 2005, we constructed a Hampton Inn in Litchfield, Illinois. An award-winning hotel, the Litchfield Hampton was the recipient of the 2006 Circle of Excellence Award, which places it in the top 10% of over 1,400 Hampton Inns nationwide. It features 64 rooms & suites, along with a hot breakfast, heated indoor pool & whirlpool, fitness center & meeting room.

We have also completed another Hampton Inn located in Lincoln, Illinois, which opened in 2008. This Hampton has 64 rooms and suites as well as an indoor pool, fitness center and meeting room and is located adjacent to a Cracker Barrel. We also recently partnered with Johnson Properties to build a 78-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Columbia, Illinois. Hotel Ventures Management Company, LLC is an investor in the project and will manage the day-to-day operations and personnel. The new hotel is located near The Falls, an extensive meeting & banquet facility, and will feature an indoor pool, fitness center, and hot breakfast.

As the number of properties continues to grow, a management company, Hotel Ventures Management Company, LLC, was established in 2006 to oversee the operations & business management of all of our properties.
